February 24, 2007, brought together volunteers comprised of Starbucks employees
and customers, Skagit Parks Foundation board members and Skagit
Parks and Recreation staff to build a new trail from the picnic
shelter to an area close to the Martin road entrance at the Skagit
Valley Playfields. We needed to clear away the brush, small
trees and dead fall as we defined the path for the new trail. Then
we started to haul in the crushed rock for the trail bed.
