October 15, 2005, became a milestone date in
community involvement. Volunteers comprised of Starbucks employees
and customers, Skagit Parks Foundation board members and Skagit
Parks and Recreation staff all gathered and assembled 25 beautiful
garbage can receptacles. They will be placed in several of our
county parks and will soon have signs recognizing Starbucks'
generosity in giving back to the community.
