November 12, 2005, became another milestone date in
community involvement. Volunteers comprised of Starbucks employees
and customers, Skagit Parks Foundation board members and Skagit
Parks and Recreation staff all gathered and planted about 400 native
plants at Northern State Recreational Area. There was a variety of plants
including
Red Twig Dogwood and Sitka Spruce that were planted in the corral
areas at the parking lot and along the foot trail leading north.
